Hello ladies and gents I'm Wes
I've been prospecting for a few years now And have hit troubled times with work ( or lack of ) and have gotten obsessed with a new career as a gold miner. I don't plan to strike it rich more looking at it like a daily job sorta thing. But so far many obstacles I have over come to get this far. Best I can do is about 3 grams on a 3 day trip.
I need advise.. First do I just need Better pay dirt or find a way to run more dirt faster?
I've got a 5 foot 10 inch wide sluice, and a thompsons puffer drywasher. That I use, so far I can process more with the drywasher in a day than the sluice due to site specifics and equipment limitations , dont have pump big enough to run so have to put it in creek shirt walk from pay dirt.
I also have a hand crank trommel I built to help me screen material faster.
Also my sluice experience is limited to this last winter season when everything was to wet to drywasher.
What advise would you give to a guy who is a hard worker but can't quite make wadges, any district you would point at? I live in southern Cali southern san bernardino county
