Went to look for a gold signet ladies ring tonight wasn't really sure we're to start a friend of mine who was in contact with the girl said she drew her a diagram said it's on the private beach out from the raft on a sandbar. Of course I park at the other end of the public beach that also has 2 rafts found out its down by the single raft so I decided just to go into the water and work my way in that direction as I entered the water I saw another guy detecting about 20 feet or so he looked at me and I acknowledged him and he gave me a look. Like get off my beach what a butt head. So I decided to put some distance between us. At one point I looked back and he was probably a 100 yards from me. I got into the area where the ring was lost in looked back again and he's about 50 feet from me at that moment I decided to work the sandbar from shallow to deep on my first pass he was about 20 feet from me so I turned around and started to work it to the shallows he looked at me and still looked disgusted when I crossed his line he was about 10 feet from me and I got a signal gave a quick scoop looked in and there was her ring if I had taken a different line he would of had it and she wouldn't of gotten it back because I was the only one that new about it. Seems strange that he seemed to chase me down like he knew I was looking for something I'm assuming because of my direct route. Sorry for such a long post just hope All would respect each other

Very good job finding and returning the ring. Personally, I could care less if someone is hunting next to me and finds an awesome treasure. I would just be stoked for them.
