yeah Right! we just got a snow advisory tonight in our county... i thought last year was a big winter.. this winter is even bigger thatn last year, but at leat the lakes will be fuller and the walleye will be flowing... I love walleye fishing in algonac

Now that was Funny!! As a hunter I feel bad for the deer poulation this year. Its been a very hard winter. I feel that populations have increased in areas that might not be able to support the number of deer without baiting. Now they are starving.

thats so true.. my buddy took out 7 deer this year, it was amazing how many deer there are in oakland county... i could not go hunting this year or last.i cant drag a deer with my back and i dont have a 4 wheeler... i did try to use my car as a bullet but i missed.. seems like when i aim i miss them and if they just jump out i do hit them............Very cool pictutre though

We still have Febuary to look forward to, now that's just depressing.
If you think the deer are suffering,(and your right) think about the turkeys.

Cool pic MIchiganne, I don't hunt deer but I have hit 5 with car, minivan and trucks in the 20 + years I have lived in Livingston Co. :(

That's a fantastic photograph, did you take it?

No sir. My brother (a deerhunter) sent it to me today.

Glad you all enjoyed it. I had to laugh when I saw it today.
I still haven't hit a deer with a car yet but almost got one late this fall. Nerve-wracking to say the least.

It has been a l-o-n-g winter. :tard:

Summer is almost here in Michigan. Yep, won't be long now.

You can already see the deer moving around.

a very long winter, and with all this snow falling today just makes it worse.. i am starting to get cabin fever, i swear my metal detector is whistling at me.

Michiganne,
interesting photo.
Thanks for posting.

Makes you wonder what their plan is. :icon_scratch:

have a good un..

That sure is a neat picture. Sure hope someone is feeding them as it would be hard for them to find feed with all that snow on the ground....Matt

I see you are in s.w. Mi but where is this pic taken? Wow it is funny. I'll bet that front one is really struggling to
move. Wonder how long it took them to move that far? A great photo.

Thanks for sharing.

Here in Jackson county, deer are flourishing in city backyards and overpopulating, so the city hired private local "professional sharpshooters", they harvested another 100 or so deer out of the city parks again this winter. Meat is donated to local churches food banks....now the city folk can have their hostas, LOL!

This picture was sent to me with no photographer credited or location but here is what I found on a website regarding its source:

"......did some research and from what I have found the photo was taken either in Rimouksi, Quebec or somewhere in northern Manitoba this winter. One message board in Canada of hunters even went as far as to say they emailed the Manitoba Natural Resource Agency and got back confirmation that the photo was taken in Manitoba."

Enough snow already,
