GIB told me it was a quarter...whatever, this is the best it could clean up after a bunch of different attempts. Not iron, not silver...not gold. Too solid to be Aluminum. Solid black when I dug it out.

I don't remember small engines with the flapper, but lots of larger equipment had either those flappers or tin cans. I would think Subterranean is on the right track.
