Hi all, I have recently been posting about my dismal luck searching lately, with a scarce 40% here and there, as some of you may have read.

Today the last box was at my bank waiting for this week, and upon picking it up, I advised the Vault manager to cease ordering... my plan being to order from another company for a while and get a new source to search.

WELL.

I popped the glued lip of the box up when I got home, almost in a non-interested way, since this supplier had dried up on me for 2 months almost. And what did I see ? Franklin here, '64 there, Franklin over here... YES. Maybe a good one for a change. I then flipped the whole box and peeked in the holes just to see if anything caught my eye... and what did I see ?? Franklin here, Walker there, Walker over here, Franklin over there..

Now I was getting pumped. I figured the ends having so many goodies, the rest in the rolls would almost certainly be fruitful. And it certainly was.

I have no idea HOW this amount of OLD silver gets into new boxes, but I am sure glad it does. I was certainly due for a score, but I didnt realize it would be this nice. Rather than list each one, I took a picture. Have a look ;D ;D

The entire top row , are all Franklins. The entire 2nd row are all Walkers. The 3rd group are 1964's.
The little stack on the right is made up of 6 40% halves. And the left two singles. BARBERS baby !!

Now this is more like it. Oh BTW, after the 5th roll I opened, I called the Bank fast, and said "nevermind, keep ordering them please". HAHA I had one roll that had 2 Walkers, 1 Barber, 2 Franklins and a 40%. That happened to be the 5th roll, so thats when I called :)

Keep searchin ! I hope this strike lasts a few more boxes. They must have gotten a new batch to roll from somewhere, and its LOADED.

Take care - Raptor686

Im in Western PA. I think there are quite a few different services around here - Brinks, Dunbar, some other one with just 2 letters or something, cant remember. Also I asked in the past at Nextier banks (Citizen), and they said they do their own coin service ( they have counter machines too). Maybe they recycle the counters money, which would be a great source I would think. Not sure.

Also I do get 2 boxes per week. This nice one was the second one this week. I get one box on Wed. then they go to my "return" bank, and Thursday I grab the other. Makes for more weekly anticipation :) The first only had 2 40% go figure. So, Im hoping this crazy loaded box is just the beginning of a whole new stash they dove into. Almost has to be right? LOL Ill definitely let everyone know if theres more to be found.

Is that a $1000 dollar box? I have been getting $500 boxes, and of course they are much smaller (like Pennyworth said).

I only need another couple of boxes like I have been getting, and I will have enough silver to sell that I will not have to use any of my weekly paycheck to order them. Not bad for only 3 months worth of CRH. Once I sell the silver I have accumulated, I am going to reinvest in MORE halves per week, until I can afford to buy a $1,000 box each week.

Eventually I want to take my silver earnings and start to plow them into something more valuable, like nice gold coins, or just ultra nice condition rarities.

;D

Those are $500 boxes. They are the same kind that I get about 90% of the time. They only hold coins one row high though. They aren't stacked. I actually prefer the square shaped boxes since I sell on ebay and they are great for shipping small items and these big long rectangles aren't, haha.

I see. Yeah I like the small square ones as well.
If there was 2wice that many halves in a box, it would actually be so heavy they would need a crate and not just a cardboard box.
;)

I got 9 rolls of silver quarters the other day from my bank, never hunted for them before. what are they worth

Currently anywhere from 7 times face value on up, depending on the spot price of silver. That is, if they are silver. (1964 and older)
