Am I getting Close?

I did some research and went to an old park today. I found a bunch of modern clad a 1965 quarter and a 1951 wheat penny. Does finding the wheat penny mean there may possibly be some older coins, merc dimes etc? Is it a good sign?

Wheat Pennys are always a good sign.....finding clad from 1965 doesnt mean anything...I find that in my change daily....But usally where theres Wheats..there may be Silver...i would keep checking it for any signs of other old trash or coins.

I only had an hour to dig tonight before it got dark. I found another wheat penny. 1951 D. I'm getting excited that's 2 wheat pennies in 2 days from this spot and still much of it still undetected.
