Hey all. I made it out for a hunt on the weekend. I was driving around looking for an old place to hunt and rolled up on a great looking spot. After getting permission, I hunted for a couple hours and found this beauty. It was a pretty iffy signal which was s uprising. I figure it might have been on edge.

That is a really nice coin. I'll have to admire yours because I doubt I'll ever find one out here in West Texas. Congrats

That is awesome!

Thanks everyone. All I did to clean it was hold it under the tap. I almost passed out when I saw the condition. I will have a video of it coming up live dug. I checked the footage and it looks good.

Now that's what I call "Saving History"! :occasion14:

WOW! Looks like it was heat sealed not stuck in dirt! WOW!

Thinking about this coin it's pretty amazing. It was minted in England and transported across the Atlantic Ocean. It was then off loaded and transported again across Canada. Then it was placed in the pocket of one our ancestors back in the mid 1800s. This was a large sum of money back in the day. I imagine how they must have felt the day they discovered it was gone. Then I think about everything that happened only a few scant inches over the coin over the last 160-170 years. Pretty amazing!

That is a pretty coin!!
