Yesterday and today I hunted some diverse places. A tot lot, alley way, and two parks, these areas would produce some really nice finds! I started out in a tot lot at an elementary school
and dug out about $4.00 in clad coins and a 14K gold pendant/charm! I then headed for a remote alley way I discovered on google maps and gave it a try. One good coin came out, it
was a 1917-S Buffalo Nickel! A couple of parks would be my next try. The first park produced a 1957-D rosie, 6 wheat pennies, a silver ring,1945-S silver war nickel, and a neat toy airplane probably from
the 1930's. My last park had a fantastic view of the city of San Francisco you can see in the picture below. I was very much surprised with a 1904 V Nickel and an 18K gold mans ring! The ring weighs in at 19 grams!
Both of these items were on the slope. Also dug up some wheaties on the same slope. This is my first nickel trifecta with a V, buffalo, and silver nickel.!

Fantastic..always enjoy your posts..you find some of the coolest stuff !

Excellent day of hunting and a great presentation on the finds.
Is that a Mario pin or coin?

Love the vintage Boy Scout items.

Very nice! I love your creativity. That's exactly the way I hunt. I don't want to say too much here to give away all my secrets but I have similar methods for finding interesting, overlooked public places with the help of Google Maps. Keep up the good work!!

Quite a haul- Congrats!

That is one nice batch of great finds CHF. I like that Airplane.

Great hunt with many great finds! Mario seems very excited about being rescued! :occasion14:

2 gold wow it's been a long time on gold for me and the coinage what a great day for you. Well done keep em coming. Tommy

I’ve been hitting the parks all over the city and I found my first piece of silver there. A silver special edition poker chip from the Silver Legacy Casino. Have you worked ocean beach much? I haven’t done much at the beach out there, but Baker Beach is on my list.

Both Ocean Beach, China Beach, and Baker Beach are illegal to hunt. If the park rangers catch you out there they could fine you and take away your metal detector. This area is part of the Golden Gate Recreation Area. It's really ridicules that you can get in trouble for removing a bottle cap from the beach sand..

Congrats on all the great finds !
Nice job on the photo display in your post !

Good Hunting !

Lots of cool finds! I'm also digging the old scale you're using to weigh the ring..

Lot's of cool goodies! I live in the North Bay. Maybe we will bump into each other someday.
