I want to post a few items I have found over the years. This is a pendent or an Amulet. I understand the markings are that of a family tree for you and I. Top represents the head of the family and so on the tree goes expanding with generations. Well that was what I was told about the piece. I think the age is around 2000 BP. Please comment and tell me more about the posting. Thanks JIm

Very cool piece. Generally that would be classed as a pendant. Great find.

What were they thinking.............I wish I knew. The stone itself is a natural form, no evidence of pecking or grinding to shape. The hole itself was a natural inclusion that they cleaned out, evidenced by the irregular hole, not completely round as a drill would have produced. The design was done at different times as some lines do not meet exactly with others, the checkered board design could have been drawn easier if done at once. Boxes within boxes, counting or perhaps protecting some things placed with in, wish missing part was there, but probably similar to other. Wavy line? Lightning? Guessing.

Nice pendant. Thanks for the pics!!
