This may be of interest to my American friends.
The American Air Museum in Duxford UK, part of the Imperial War Museum, has just reopened after a major development. The museum is home to over 850 objects, including equipment, uniforms, keepsakes and photographs, many of them never seen by the public before.

Part of the IWM Duxford visitor experience, the American Air Museum stands as a memorial to the almost 30,000 US airmen and women who gave their lives flying from British shores in the Second World War in the defence of democracy and freedom. Among the highlights is a cigarette case belonging to film director Walter Wyler, who served in the US Army Air Forces during the Second World War, which is covered in engraved signatures of famous names including General Eisenhower and Winston Churchill.

That's so awesome! Thank you!

My father was stationed at Bassingbourne with the "Mighty Eighth". Thanks for the link!!
