I've posted this before, here's another try at IDing this thing. Seems to be bronze and about the size of a quarter. Reverse is flat with no details. The site/area where it was found dates back to bronze age. HH, Mike

At first I thouight it was a counting token, but I do think now that it is a seal ....These were used to mark pottery as well as steel ,tools etc

That is an idea GH, a pottery seal of sort. What does the reverse of yours look like? HH, Mike

Mike......nothing on the back...Zilch ..... nada
Yours is an excellent find and I cant find any symbols yet to translate yours yet...but I thought at first,Mycean ....but dont worry I will second guess myself enough until I prove me wrong! LOL The reason I thought yours might be made for tool marking is because of its strength...clay ones could be pushed into pottery..

Thanks GH for the help, the seal idea makes sense! I'm going to try some searches in the German language for clay seals. Let you know if I find anything. HH, Mike
