Hi,

This item was found in a field in Cornwall, the same field that I have found lead musket balls. It is an area where civil war activity took place but not sure if this has anything to do with that era or not.
It is about the size of an old english penny but a little thinner and has an ornate pattern on the front.
On the back is the remains of what I believe to be a 'catch', therefore I think this might be a brooch but that's just a guess.
Can anyone assist please?
