Ancient coin

Hey y'all! Unfortunately this was not found whole metal detecting, but it was my grandpa's. I've been dealing with American coinage my whole life, and have books for 1700-2016, but I am absolutely ignorant on ancient coinage. Could anyone help me on information about this coin?
