Little help on this one.At first I thought it was a buckle.Noticing the holes on each side made me think it's something else.Any ideas?

Can you give us some more information, such as where you found it (farm, homesite, etc.)

I found it today around an old homesite here on the farm.

Talked to the farmer that we lease to about this piece.He says it's a link from an old tobacco planter. Thanks everyone for the replies. HB
