Well, it is...... Basically I look at it like this.... Part time/casual hunting with dark sunglasses to observe the eye-candy w/o getting in trouble :laughing7: during June to September.... Full scale beach war-fare during November - May . That's the readers digest version here in So Cal ... So I've learned.

A few bucks in clad here and there w/the offset of gas-money to get to the beach isn't very rewarding as of late. After hitting the beach every day for a few hrs ea day all week long, I've decided to return to the parks and soccer fields for a few months until conditions change. There's a good 10-12 ft of sand that has moved in and my CTX only goes about 9 ft down ( feels like it anyways)... I'll still scout the occasional low low tide but the wet is pretty pointless as of late.

BTW here's a reading that should cause a nose-bleed and if you can understand it you shouldn't be detecting you should be saving the world......

Sounds like me...Galveston is hunted hard so I find more stuff inland.

I believe the article is about oil wells and how sand plays a part in drilling wells.

My wife detected this in the dunes on Galveston.

I was in Galveston, nada, nothing.... zip.

Now I'm in Surfside Beach, $4 in clad in 1.5 hours. A toy car and such. I ran into another Treasurenet guy here yesterday. He said he gave up on Galveston.

Texas T... do they allow hunting and digging in the dunes here? In Florida that will get you keel-hauled.

If so, it opens up a lot more territory.

Forget sand ,try understanding a women.
