Another 1600's latten spoon with marking (partial) and other colonial goodies and pit

Did not find anything fantastic, though I did locate another pit though it was a bust. Trying my best to clean this site out before it gets too hot as it still produces a little at a time.

My take for the quick 2 hour hunt resulted in a few buttons, the broken latten spoon dish marked with a Heart, a number of various caliber musket balls (mostly all fired) and a nice early complete buckle.

I located a fairly large pit, though it was full of only large copper sheets folded and melted lead (some very large)

I admire the dedicatition and fortitude you have put into this site ! Great Great finds ! I know your conundrum ! One of the wicked truths of this hobby is as the quanity of your finds go down the quality usually goes up ! Age dependant of course ! Clear the stuff on top to get to the deeper /older ! Great Job extending your season ! MaineRelic

Dan - you're getting quite a collection of those 17th century latten spoon bowls. I'm still waiting on your reconstruction job on those other spoon parts you dug there. Hope you can continue to get into that site and finish cleaning it out before its gone forever.

awesome finds!!

Thanks Casper - this is one of the cooler marks I have found, I only wish it was in better shape as it is one of the worst examples I have dug this year. Thanks for the link.

Dan - it you click on the gear icon in the upper right of the link that Casper provided you can download a complete pdf copy of that book for future reference.
