I posted a couple of weeks ago about finding my first silver, which happened to be a semi-key, 1896-O Barber dime worth about $100.
Last night, forum member Barberboy (maybe he will chime in) and I went out to a large, empty field on the edge of town that used to be a very old golf course. The hits were few and far between and the take homes were a wheat cent and a 1970 rabies tag. As we headed back to the truck, a nice hit! The O-mint was nice, but we couldn't believe the date when it was turned over: 1896!
