Dug some junk this morning. Got a 1930 Wheat penny some other odds and ends a my second buggy tag. This one is "Rattermann & Luth manufacturing" from Ohio. I going to post both these tags in the token and tag forum and see what I can learn. Thanks for looking.

Very nice relic hunt! You a lot of interesting things. Congratualtions! :occasion14:

For a tag with a bunch of letters, it sure is cool. All it takes is 120 year old graphics and some time in the ground...and presto, you got cool. They don't make even these simple things anymore with such character as this.

That tag is pretty cool! I'm interested in the pickaxe & spade thingy. Do you know if it's mining related? Too bad it's broken.

I think it's a medallion off of an old truck?? But I can't place which one.

Isn't it a bit small to be on a truck? Nice looking piece...
Here it is. I thought I'd seen it before. Dodge prospector.

Nice digs rn, I'm really liking those buggy tags.

Buggy tags... that's a new one to me. Very cool RN!

Never seen one of these before. Very interesting. What is it made of? Nice find and thanks for sharing.

Cool stuff! I found an old carraige tag that is brass and lead filled and use to be gold plated. Initially, it hit the junk pile as I though it was half of an old sprinkler pipe clamp. I really do need to get some pics up...
Grats to ya and keep on diggin'!

They are brass. I'm calling them buggy tags because when I resarched them they both were manufacturer's of horse carriages and buggy's . I'm assuming that these tags were attached to the carriage/buggy to identify the manufacturer. Both were found at old house sites.
