I found another button today which has the same front side as the one I found last week. Although this one is missing its' shank 
Oh well I'm not complaining at least I wasn't skunked!
The marking on the backside is "Horstmann * Phila"
I tried looking for a possible date but all I have right now is a rough estimate, 1860-1870.
Does anybody know a safe way to clean the green junk off?
