Another cartridge casing...

Went to the same park we found the 1904 casing and the Dietz relics before...today, we found another casing -- it's marked REM UMC but very corroded. Dates to 1911-1960, but they stopped using the area as a gun range around 1950. There's an "8" on there also, but any other numbers are too pitted to read.

Neat...still haven't found my first silver yet, but it's more fun pulling these up than metal twist caps (we found 3 of those today...)

thats remington and i believe union metallic cartridges . caliber should be marked . good luck.

Sky, you might look again. Instead of #'s, may be letters like F in 9 o'clok position-A at 3 o'clock position for Frankfort Arsenal. If my browser is correct Rem-UMC was from 1911 till1933
