IEdit: should say half cent in title-- d'oh!
Got permission at a 200 year old home last week, and spent about three hours there with 6 wheat pennies to show for it and nothing else of interest. There was a good deal of yard that I didn't detect, so I went back this morning trying not to get my hopes up. First dig was a 1942 Washington, a first for me and only my 3rd silver ever! 4 hours and 9 what pennies later, I discover what turns out to be an 1890 celluloid starch token. 10 minutes later and this beautiful 1828 half cent is staring up at me!!! What a strange hop through time. There is still another 30 percent of the property to detect...going to be hard not to have high hopes for what remains.
HH everybody
