Well I went out yesterday and went to an old desereted house and then the boat launch in my area. I searched for about 3 hours and all I found was a 1976 dime and a 1976 penny. I don't know whats wrong other then I don't quite know what I'm doing, i'll keep on plugging away though.

Keep on digging! I have only been out 4 times now and have only found $2.50 - wahoo (and that was all in the tot lots at the elem school)!! Various odds and ends too, but nothing big. I have no idea what I am doing - I turn the MD on and start swinging! It sounds like you are in a good place though. I would stand there and pretend you lived there.... then visualize walking out the door and where you would go. May sound corny, but from what I have read, you have to do that to get an idea of where to look. Good luck!

Thanks, I'm sure that it will just be a matter of time. I plan on hitting a state park beach tomorrow. Weather permitting. I wanted to go today but it was too cold outside.

Leep and Stacy,

went out for the first time this year.

Odds and ends and a total of 27 cents clad.
I've been hunting for years. :P
Enjoy yourself when your out there.

Hobby is called hunting not finding. Just keep
working at it and the finds will come.

Leep,
make sure you have something, (scoop of some type),
for working in the sand. Saves a lot of time.

have a good un......
SHERMANVILLE

Sounds like a typical day for me. Shermanville is right. Persistence pays off. Practice, learn your machine, do research to find good spots, and enjoy being out. The good stuff is out there waiting to be found.

Leep, you need to find a hunting buddy or join a club. If you are new at this a mentor might help. Keep plugging away and things will get better. Keep posting I know you are going to start finding some great stuff.

Happy Hunting!

Don

Leep: Don't get discouraged. Think of it this way. If those two 76 ers were lost when fairly new thats about 30 years ago. If those loosers had other coins in their pockets that were, say 15 years older you'd have a silver in your pocket. I just checked my pocket change and had a 74'dime thats 30# years. My point is they're out there and the site does'nt have to be ancient. Keep on til' we hear a WooHoo from you soon.
