My buddy and I met at MacDonalds for breaky and then headed back to the old pic-nic site that I hunted yesterday. It was even colder today......brrrrrrrrrrrrr.

One of my better finds was this old milk glass jars, probably for PONDS cream, as validated with the stamp on the bottom of the jar.

Got to brush your teeth, right? Well, a nice vintage tube of "COLGATE TOOTHPASTE" was down a couple of inches. Because it contained the ingredient "GARDOL".....it was easy to ID. Below is an old magazine ad for this brand.

More toothpaste! Crest also got into the toothpaste wars! This small vintage tube also dates back into the 60's.

Here are a couple of old one minute TV commercials promoting these two toothpaste brands! Enjoy!

I did dig a few coins too.

Well......after about 3 hours hunting, we headed to a famous Chinese restaurant for some noodle soup with onion cakes. Just another great adventure metal detecting! :)

Ouch! Know what that means soon. We normally have to shut down for a few weeks in January then it's back at it till green up. Did ya give the jar a little shake when it came out lol...been nice to hear the tall tell sign of coins.

Keep at it. :occasion14:

When the weather's hot and sticky there's no time for dunkin' dickie; when the frost is on the punkin that's the time for dickie dunkin'! - anonymous This is some of the things that "Frost on the pumpkin" used to mean. Love the meaning of the phrases we use all the time.

Congrats on getting out and braving the weather. I use one of my ponds jars to hold this years rings and other silver/goald pieces. I have another that is full of wheats from the season.
