Hello all, got out to do some hunting at a circa 1831 Home that I am sure has been hit numerous times over the years. But as all of you know, it can never be hunted out. So started the day off with the tag that says No 157. Not sure if thats a bag claim or what. It was around 4 inches down. Then got a few wheats with the oldest being a 1916 S mint. Then went over 10 feet and my buddy Don got the 1912 Barber Quarter. After searching the entire yard and some of the woods I decided to go over the front yard again in the other direction.
I got a 35 VDI and dug down. After digging the plug I rechecked the plug and it was at 20 VDI. I thought maybe a modern nickle. Nope, to my surprise out popped a 1904 V Nickle, my first after 9 years of detecting. Either those are hard to find or I just suck at this sport
All in all it was a decent day of digging. The lady even said she would be interested in us trying to dig the privy. I just think we might. Thanks for looking and be safe out there. P.S. I have to post another days finds too....what an incredible day this one turned out to be!
