After my Barber find on Saturday, I was still pumped and door knocked a 1897 house in town that I had been trying to get since last fall. After 4 hours of
searching, I didn`t even find a wheat penny, needless to say I was shocked, I guess it must have been hit before.

So I went to plan B, I drove over to a small town nearby and decided to do some more sidewalk strips, Tuesday I found 7 wheats so I was thinking I would
at least find a Merc if I kept going.

This morning I went back to finish and started detecting at 10 am, after going most of the way down the first block, I got a jumpy 23-27 and figured it would be
a wheat penny or possibly a clad dime.

After getting the plug out, I found a little silver rim poking out of the dirt, so I figured I found my Merc, when I flaked off the dirt I saw another "one dime"
and thought, wow! another Barber after only 4 days!! After spraying some water on it I saw the lady sitting down and without thinking let out a little yell,
I was about 50 feet from a funeral home, and a few people came over to see what this guy was hollering about.

This was only the second target of the morning, and it was 10:17 and here I am sitting staring at this beautiful little coin, never thought I would find one of
these anytime soon, and in a sidewalk strip to boot, wow!!:icon_pirat:

I don`t know how it got bent, I`m guessing that was why the signal was so jumpy.

I’ve found many Spanish silvers but only one Seated Dime and I proudly wear it around my neck. There’s a saying I live by. “I’m a great believer in luck, and I find the harder I work the more I have of it.”

Congratulations on your hard work and I appreciate your dedication you put in.

Congrats on your second Barber coin. If you put a folded paper towel on each side of it, to protect it, and put it in a vice and turn very slowly, that dime will flatten out very nicely.

Welcome to the exclusive Seated Club! We have refreshments in the lounge area, a cigar bar and dancing girls down the hall.
Kidding aside I will never forget digging my first Seated dime. An 1853 in AU condition with mint lustre. Congratulations!

Cool seated dime recovery! :occasion14:

Crazy find. You now have one more than me. Great work!

Congratulations!!!:hello2:

A paper towel? lol! How about some strips of pine wood.

Grats on your first seated!

Nice post. Great coins. It truly is a great feeling finding such a special little coin. Found my first one this year too. Hope you find more, as I think you will be just as thrilled with the next one. Congrats!

That's a very fine piece of silver amongst a nice set of finds for you mate - congrats on her! :skullflag: :occasion14:

Contact's to you on a great looking coin.

Very Nice!!! Congrats!!!

I don't run across seated coins that often. When I do, I'm sure I let out a little shout of glee too! Congratulations on your first seated dime. Hope there are many more in your future.
