This morning I went back to the Confederate camp were I hunted yesterday morning with much the same results. Not a lot but the quality is great. Found another Colt pistol bullet, a rim fire cartridge, flat button and two old tent grommets. I found what I think is a bridal rosette and a first for me and my best of the day. Two pin fire shotgun cartridges. They say EB London 12 gage. These were made by Eley brothers of London. Found both within 10 inches of each other. I'm tickled to have them. Thanks for looking. Nice finds! Thanks for sharing...

Very Nice RN. Never dug one of the shotgun brasses like those. WTG, Q

Nice finds RN, you surely know where to dig the goods. How was the weather? Today was warmer than foretasted here in Ohio.

Great work on the nice finds.

:thumbsup:Those are hard to come by. I'm sure when you looked them up you seen how they were only made for a short time (for obvious reasons) and expensive. (The guy with the most Gilted buttons would have been sporting that gun) There's actually another layer to the hull that looks gilted but rots away fast.
Congrats

It was cool and damp here. Getting ready for a little more rain.

Thanks Rick, I've only seen pictures of these and am very happy to have dug them. I probably dug 25 modern head stamps before these popped out so it was unexpected. Shotgun shells sound like buttons so I dig alot. Glad I did.

Thanks Q, I'm surprised you don't have a box full with all the good stuff you find. Good luck

Nice finds, congrats.

Very well done RN!

Glad you had a successful hunt!

Great finds!! Congrats!!

That's a cool find, I have to go through my mountains of junk because I may have one or something similar. Those seem very rare, I'm probably thinking of a lamp part. I'm always learning:)

Two pin fire shotgun cartridges. I have never seen or heard of them. Very cool.
Tnet is an educational trip that I'm happy to be on.
Congratulations on a good hunt.
