i was using the excal and yes i dug just as much or if not more than ss.not alot of iron there i believe i dug more iron with the excal than the whites pi. 4 peices of stainless including a clevice and a neat carbine,a bow running light,2 big ss washers and a few more i forget.also i forgot i dug my fair share of bottle caps.i feel sorry for him though you have to dig everyone of those with the pi.and there were tons of them
