Another fun day in the woods more silver and a BEAVER!

Lovin the G2, went back today to work the barber half site with a tight pattern Go very few hits inside the sprial I ran previously, which is at least a nice double check, right?

Outside that first sprial I started pullin more cool coins. First out was a 1909 VDB! I've pulled a few '09s, either no vdb or too screwed up to tell...this is my first VDB!

Then I got a nice pure 84 ID...that last one that IDed like this was a merc, so time to trust the machine and turn on cam for a full dig...and DEAD on ID...got a '41 merc :-)

But the real treasure of day was the George 6 BEAVER nickel, 1939. I swear it looked silver, I never seen a nickel that color before. But it's NOT, it's pure nickel...ours turn red cause they are mixed with copper. Yeah, I know it's just a Beaver nickel, right? But on the airbase in SC? NICE. 2nd Canadian coin in this section too, also got a '43 maple leaf penny. HMMMMMM....Canadian Units on the base? Would be awesome to find some uniform bits to back that up!

nice job jim i only got one 1909 and i cant tell if its a vdb its a lil corroded and the silver is always nice one of these days ill get out and find some coins

Hey Jim great finds Gotta be more loot there. I would get some stakes / twine and grid the place. Yeah I know doing that is suspiciously like work but that is a primo site and you don't want to miss anything.

Nice VDB and early beaver I have found several 1909 but that VDB still hides

Try not to run your coins straight out of the ground, it tends to leave scratches. Great finds!
