Hello everyone! I know this is "Today's Finds" but I found this last night and when I got home, I was ready for bed. James and I met up and went to the Fort and by the time we got there it was getting dark. The area we hunted was in the woods where the soldiers would train. If you've never hunted one of these areas, look out. There is so much brass shell casings that it's like digging pull tabs. It really gets old but if you don't dig it you might be passing something good.
Anyway, I got a different signal (nickle) and this 1950 10 k gold class ring poped out. :blob1: It has a A on it and under it it says St. Angela and it has the initials of the owner on the inside. Maybe I can track them down. Close by I found a belt buckle and stripper clip and lots of brass. :angry3:
Anyway, I just thought I'd share.
Thanks for looking,
Ed

My my! That's a beautiful class ring!
It has a unique color for sure. You'd do yourself proud looking up the owner if he is still around.

Thats one beautiful ring, I hope you can find its owner..that would be awesome, keep us posted if you do find whomever it belongs too.

The A could stand for Academy or Aiken. There was a St. Angela academy in Aiken, SC. It is no longer in operation but was for many years including the year on the ring. I am providing a link for you to a website about the school. Could be some great info there to help you find the owner. That would be a great story in itself if you find the owner.

Great finds, and an outstanding ring. :icon_sunny: Hope you are able to track the owner down.

Found a buckle on friday, just like yours. It came out of a park though.

Keep looking, I'm sure that you will find more.

Thanks for the comments and the info. I am going to try and find out who it belongs to. Could you imagine the stories that owner would have to tell? Wasn't 1950 the beginning of the Korean War? Even if the owner isn't alive I would like to give it to a relative or at least learn about the person.
Thanks again and Happy Hunting to all.
