Went out late afternoon yesterday. Been waiting for a little rain, so I could return to an old house I am detecting. Rain helps reduce the brown spots from my plugs. The house was built sometime in the 1850s. The owner is a 90 year old lady. She has lived there since 1942. Well I started where I left off and before long started hitting wheat's. Another 9 for the day. That puts me over 25 wheat's for the week. I also dug three Indians, which makes 4 from the front yard of this home. I got a really nice silver dime reading saying 7 inches deep on my detector and started digging. Out pops this silver thimble. It has initials engraved on it. It does not match the owner, or the previous owner. I am going to have to find out who built this house and see if it was theres. If you notice the V nickle between the Indian and wheat, it looks darn good for a nickle in this neck of the woods. The other V is how they normally look. The shinny one was stuck between the the Indian and wheat pennies. Thanks for looking.
The coins. Wheat's, 1911,26,45d,10,12,55d,40s,11,29. The Indians 1880,1891,1904. The V nickles 1907,1909.
