Hunted the Meadows field again today. The sun was very hot and the ground was very hard, but I managed to stick it out for another 3 1/2 hours before exhaustion set in. The following finds made it well worth while.

Another nice Mercury dime:

A few Indians (not in the best of shape):

12 wheaties , including four 1916's, and 2 memorials:

A couple of eagle pins:

A fireman's button and a school bus token might give you an idea where the Meadows is:

A tiny toy pistol: moremeadows 004.webp

I'm not sure what this little metal tube was used for, but it has an advertisement for a shop in my old home town, Chester, PA, so I thought it was neat. The phone number should give you a hint about its age.

All of those finds look great. Even the Indian heads look good to me. But then again, here are the kinds of Indian heads I've been finding. Fertilizer kills these things......

That tiny pistol was a squirt gun. The hand grip was a rubber bulb. You would stick the barrel in water, squeeze the bulb, then release to suck up a load of water. Now,chase a scaredy cat and hose 'em. Quite old,I think!

beautiful finds ! very hot here today to, congrats to you ;)

3 1/2 hours and you got all of that?
I'd say that was a very HOT day. Hot on finds.
Congratulations.

Wow dude ,you cleaned house!

Very nice finds Bob--A good hunt for sure

lots of nice finds there... :o :o :o all the best on the return trip !!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Despite the heat and digging in near-concrete you did a pretty good day's digging.
Sweet Merc.

Neat finds, Bob!

Great detail on the Merc.

Interesting tube from M H Bickley. Quick research tells he operated a drug store around the turn of century.

Thanks for sharing.

Nice bunch of finds and congrats on the silver! HH, Mike
