Nice find! Did you find it in a creek bed, gravel bar, plowed field etc?

A plowed field... just sitting on the surface.
About 10 yds from a running spring....��

Man that groove has been grinded and polished out nicely--more so than the rest of the surface.

The root river is 1/4 mile out my back door... I’ve found a handful there.
But mainly search the fields and the creeks.

Wow that's an incredible find. I wonder how sharp it was in its heyday? Is it heavy? I want to hold it in my hands lol. I have had the misfortune of chopping down a tree with an axe before - a sharp axe against a small tree - and it took forever...Past experience makes me wonder what this axe was used for.
