Another new guy !

Howdy all

I am buying my first detector . I have narrowed it down to either a Fisher F2 or a Whites Coin Master. Question is some of the reputable dealers are offering package deals. One such deal is a free pin pointer. Are the accessories included in these packages worth the addition monies. Will they carry me through a while or are they just worthless bells and whistles designed to make the package more appealing. Thank you in advance for any help here.

No question, get the F2! It'll run circles around the CoinMaster. F2 is one the strongest entry level detectors and the CoinMaster one of the weakest IMO.

I think I paid $215 for an F2 package with two coils (4" & 8") plus a pinpointer. The pinpointer is a cheapy but it works (kinda).
