Thanks Grim! I'm pretty sure it's a Besant.Very productive hunt. Some nice finds in that group. Is the large Point a Besant?
Thanks chip! That point is mostly a caramel color with sort of a moss agate like tip.Killing it! I especially like the third one in the top row with that cool color.
Thanks newnan! They were spear heads. A person does find some side notched knives from time to time but they are usually in the 3 ½" to 5" range and usually quite a bit thicker....a lot of times asymmetrical. If you find stuff into the Earlier Archaic and Paleo times they usually used flake knives or large oval blades.Would those be knives or spear points. They look to big to be arrowheads. Nice finds!
