Went out again today.....trying to get as much hunting in before the snow falls. It was slow going at first until about halfway through the hunt when I found that big point (big for around here anyway). It measures 2 ⁵/¹⁶" long. Beautiful patina on it but it does have that small impact fracture. 20191102_163655.jpg 20191102_163711.jpg 20191102_163800.jpg 20191102_163814.jpg 20191102_160452.jpg 20191102_163835.jpg 20191102_163901.jpg 20191102_163922.jpg 20191102_163946.jpg 20191102_164002.jpg 20191102_164021.jpg

Killing it! I especially like the third one in the top row with that cool color.

Would those be knives or spear points. They look to big to be arrowheads. Nice finds!
Thanks newnan! They were spear heads. A person does find some side notched knives from time to time but they are usually in the 3 ½" to 5" range and usually quite a bit thicker....a lot of times asymmetrical. If you find stuff into the Earlier Archaic and Paleo times they usually used flake knives or large oval blades.
