WW2 era 75mm Solid shot anti tank round for the US M2 or M3 gun, they would have been used in either a Lee or Sherman tank, the case is dated 1940, there should be a date and lot number on the brass ring (driving band) around the projectile as well if I remember right

What else did you dig up back there? Why isn't my yard full of WW2 artillery?
