I was given permission to detect the church grounds under the condition I’d return anything historically related to the church.
Fr.Chris thinks all the medallion’s I found should be returned, so here’s another.

Both great Saves and Deeds on the recovery and return of the religious medals. Well Done.

Love the medals. Nice recoveries.
I've always wanted to detect a church. Just haven't had the nerve to ask yet I guess.
I had a lady a few weeks back that wanted to keep everything I found. Makes you not want to even detect. I didnt find much because someone had been there before me.
Yesterday I detected a yard across the street from that house. Nice lady, but I believe the same person may have beat me too it. Super clean yard on an early 1900's house is not a good sign. Found two modern pennies, and squeeked out a beautiful green patina 1910 wheat penny in an ivy area. Probably the nicest wheat I've ever dug actually.
I walked away with with my tail tucked after two hours. Oh well, on to the next.
Thanks so much for the post. :icon_thumleft:

I'm in 100% agreement of the deal and stoked that you found a religious medal (my avatar will show what my favorite finds are!)- well done!

Very nice avatar.
Here are all the medallion’s I found on the church property this year. I was asked to hold on to them until a display case was ready. The one is part of a Rosary.

Good finds! Always good to give back when you can.

Still finding more. Ring copper? Brooch. 1944 wheat, And a early Rosary.

Congrats on the nice recoveries and what you finding for your church. I just got a church & school house permission today by accident today. I went to ask if I can metal detect a house property and the person at the house said no but that he manages the church & school property across the street and that I am welcome to detect it. He told me all he like me to do is text him a picture if I find anything nice so he can show the members.

Very nice religious medal. Congrats!
