Hit the oceanfront this morning and brought along my neighbor who wanted to give it a try for the first time. After giving him a tutorial on using the MXT in the dry sand I left him to do his own thing and I then headed down by the water's edge with my infinium. Targets were few and far between with only 3 coins in 3+ hours. But I found this huge silver ring about 5 minutes before quitting to avoid the skunk. It wasn't gold but I'll take it. Thought I had a nice heavy gold bracelet earlier, but couldn't find any markings so guess its junk. That's OK - just a little more motivation for getting out next time. HH to all.

Still a productive day! HH

Better than a poke in the eye!!! I like the ring!

Nice ring and I hope your neighbor knew he was getting lessons from the Great Bill D because there aren't many better!

IF YOU CANT FIND GOLD - BIG SILVER IS ALWAYS NICE :icon_thumleft:

Bill,
Are you feeling ok, why so much sandtime:laughing7:

After the fields are planted around here in April/May I have no other options besides the beach and maybe an occassional construction site. So my summer is being spent hitting an occassional beach, writing a few articles for detecting magazines, and doing research for new sites to hit in the Fall. So this is definitely my booring time of year. Glad to see that you still have some decent sites to hunt. Good luck!!
