Ringnut and I hit the beach late today. It was raining when we got there but soon tapered off enough to hunt. No sooner did we hit the water when Stan was waived over buy a guy who lost his wedding ring while throwing a football. Long story short we hunted for about an hour and I finally came up with his ring. Sorry no pictures but it was a custom designed white gold ring with lots of scroll work on it. Very nice. He was happy enough to reward the both of us.
In the mean time I did find 3 other rings. 1 gold 14K 7 grams, 1 pewter religious ring and 1 stainless crapper. I also found what appears to be an old unused brass ship spike. It measures 5.5 inches long and is in very nice condition. If anyone knows anything about these ship spike please let me know. I would like to try and date it and find out if it's worth anything. Also would cleaning it wreck it?
Thanks
