Greetings gentlemen. Instead of doing three reports I thought I would just put them together as a one week post.
Found some more sidewalk silver. Another Rosie. Took it home and cleaned up with some silver polish. Beautiful. Wish they still made coins with silver.
So I tried electrolysis for the first time. I thought I would use a wheat penny as my sacrificial lamb in case I screwed things up. When it was done it really wasn't that clean but then I read online to use baking soda to finish cleaning and it shined up nicely.
Took my tub of clad up to deposit. This is what I've found since the beginning of the year. About a third of them were too beat up to go through machine so it ended up being $60 and some change. There is probably another $30 I need to take back up to the bank. They said they would take the beat up bent ones and would have to hand count. Guess I can help them out and bag them by the dollar. The one dollar bill I also found detecting. It was laying under some leaves I had kicked up.
Thanks for looking. HH
