I went out for a quick hunt in the local woods today, where I thought would be a good little strip to hunt. Not more than 10 mins. into the hunt, I got a solid 12-45 at 6". I knew right away it would be a silver dime, I was just hoping it was a Barber..came out to be a 1918-3 Merc. Grin
A few mins. later an awesome high tone breaking through a null. The numbers were all over the place, due to trash in the ground I'm sure. It was showing between 6"-8" on the depth meter, so I dug it...1927 Merc.
Not too long after that, I got a repeatable high tone with a reading of 12-43/44. I've dug a few wheaties in this range, but also a bunch of silver dimes. So this one was up in the air of whether it would be penny or dime. To my surprise popped out the 2nd 1918-s Merc.
Last good signal came in at 5" and gave me a reading of 12-46/47. I was sure it was going to be a quarter, and was hoping for another SLQ. When I popped it out, it looked like a really dirty/caked Quarter, but after knocking off some of the dirt, I saw it was an aluminum token. It's a Henry Harrison Cracker Jacks token. thumbsup
Not bad for a quick hunt. I was out for less than 2 hours due to technical difficulties BangHead
This brings me to 98 silvers for the year. Only 2 away from the big 'ole 100 laughing7
Oh yeah, I also got this old lock icon_scratch dontknow Any idea of what kind it may be...It has some writing on it, but can't make it out right now.

wtg on the finds , that a cool lookin old lock , dont you wish it could tell you its story , 
Some escape convict cut the chains in the woods and is free.....probably dead now. 
I don't know, but that sure would be some story...
The lock was just a little bonus
