Usual auction house was doing an on site auction. I was able to look through everything while they were setting up the day before. Saw the sterling set on the table mixed with a few plate. They never said anything special about it. On auction day, several people look at it. It wasn't hiding underneath like the last set I got. Finally comes up for sale and there's only 1 bid on it. Me for $20. Its Wallace La Reine pattern. Would be 8 place settings except its missing a dinner fork somewhere. 31 pieces total and about 1050 grams. The rest of this estate auction is going to be at the end of the month so hoping to find the fork there. Did buy a lot of nice depression glass, but this was the real score so far (still going through everything). Thought I'd share this great find with you all.
