A TEXAS GOLD MINE
Fort Worth, Texas, Jan. 6 - A special from Leaky, in Edwards County, tells of the discovery of a paying gold mine. The ore yields from $68 to $300 per ton. Prospectors are pouring in and many claims have been staked off. A complete mining outfit will be erected at once.

By the way, gold was $20.67 per ounce in 1886, so this ore would well run over $3000 per ton today. Who says there is no gold in Texas?
