Another Unexpected Saved

Almost stepped on this freshly hatched baby painted turtle..(covered in dust in middle of quarry).

Oh, how nice of you TJE....are those the same kind of turtles that I had in my fish aqu. when I was little? They look just like them! Your story reminds me of the time, a few years ago, when I accidently stepped on a toad.... So now I try to watch the ground during "toad" season, not easy.

Hey CK, that, I've no idea...but doubt little petstore turtles are the same as wild painted turtles..need a turtle expert here LOL. All I do is save the painted & snapping turtles every summer.
Yes, it's hard to look down and straight ahead at the same time...but just like this little guy...sometimes it works!
