Was so nice here today and it's supposed to go sour tonight. So, I just spent the day leisurely walking
the cornfield.

Thank you for sharing your hunt and those pictures with us .

That's a lot of targets. What is the thing with the loops?

Ya just never know in them fields, nice hunt!!

That's the gold filled pin. Last thing I expected to see in the cornfield was gold though. A nice add! :)

It is always wild when those 1/20 gold items come up.

Awesome finds! You won't need a key tonight!

Our ground is still not diggable ! Since Sunday "is not supposed to rain" I may attempt a beach run, with hubby!
My third attempt! Wish me luck!

Pretty sure that the beach is about the only dig-able ground we're going to find in New England right now, Lil' Beep! I still got a foot and a half of hard packed white ice on my lawn. Oh, its not snow by any means. Its been there since January. :BangHead:

GF & GP...A hunters let down...Still a good haul just for a walk...I had the GF today, as bad as Gold Filled ... wasted day..

Now, ya see? That's why I will never be a "pirate". I was simply pleased as punch to uncover that little piece of bling! Especially considering where I was hunting! Even that
single, lonesome little wheat cent was a highlight of my day. 1928-d ? Not only old, but a fairly key coin in the series AND it came out of the ground in very nice shape!

Would it make a difference if it had been full gold? Oh, probably some. But not because of the intrinsic value. It just depends on one's mindset. If they're out there to be a
" '49er gold rush miner" gimme gold! gimme gold! gimme gold! LOL They are doomed to be disappointed a LOT! ;)

GF GP are not a "hunter's let down". Unless they let it be. (or if GF means girl friend ;) LOL )

I hear that George Washington's wedding band was GF but when I find that one and the inscription reads from Martha to George Washington 1776, I don't think I'll
be too disappointed. ;)

Thanks

Whadi, great haul, congrats! I often wonder when jewelry ends up in the middle of nowhere if a tornado helped it along...Sub 8-)

Higgy my yard looks like yours, but the neighbor's across the street is almost clear, just a few piles of snow here and there. Lol! I look and laugh, winter is still taunting me!

Yep. That's what ole man winter does. He waits around a corner, just waiting for only lil Ms Beep.

I've given you a promise. Watch and see it unfold. :)

I believe you, I'm still watching and waiting...is there a speed dial on the waiting part, can we turn it up a notch or two?

Wish I was south of the Mason-Dixon right now, beeping with one hand and sippin' a sweet tea with the other, waiting for the big thaw.

Btw, I OWN page two! :laughing7:

Just remember, when you finally start hauling it all in, where you heard it first. ;)

Another relaxing walk and good finds! HH, Q.

Ya know, Quindy. You might have hit on something there. You said "good finds".

I think I need to adjust my way of thinking a bit. Ya see, I'm a coinhunter at heart. It's what got me in the hobby and
I still enjoy a really nice old coin. I hadn't noticed just how frustrated I get in the cornfields. Why? No coins. My focus
has become too narrow. If I don't turn a coin, I just don't feel like I've had a "successful" hunt.

I know that the relics are really the more important finds. I just love coins. In any case, it's gonna take a bit of doing but I
gotta rethink my hunting.

Don't get me wrong. I don't JUST hunt for coins. I pull a lot of buttons, bullets, shells, etc. too. But I've been a little bit less
than enthusiastic over them. I think changing is going to help my mood while hunting. Thanks!

I just love that you always put that little gecko in your photos. ; )
