Another whats it from yesterday

Hello all! Found this yesterday & noticed it had a number on it, 82? Any ideas? I know its nothing great but still curious about what this went on. This was found at a late 19th c home. Again any help is always appreciated! Thanks & HH!

looks like a radiator drain plug

It looks like a guitar string screw. Not that it would be a guitar string screw but it did something by tightening wire string.

I agree with Surf, I think it's a screw from an antique brass gas lamp.

yep, maybe an adjuster for a gas lamp. the 82... maybe 1882 the year.
