Was hiking at one of my favorite spots w/ the dog and along the way there is a house site that had a nice size home from 1840 until 1917 which was part of a larger theiving mill community from 1840's until just before WW1. On the approach to where the fireplace and parts of the foundation still remain I eye balled this barely poking through the mud and pulled it out. It's very heavy and seems obvious to me, but would like 2nd opinions. 19th century axe-head? Thanks in advance.
