Antique copper pen???

No idea what this is, it looks like a pen but seems strange with the copper tube part. Tube is closed at the top end although it does have a tiny pinhole in the top. Pointy end seems to me like a writing tip but just a guess.

It looks to have been soldered I would think maybe refrigeration related.IMO

Just a little background, it was found out in the middle of the woods within just yards of a few large cents that were also dug up

If it was a brass pen or pencil it would have some internal parts and to me it looks flattened.JMO

Point to ponder... If you look closely at the first photo, you will see where the area just before the tip of the pen has a different type of (corroded) metal composition, then the tip is again copper. The possibility of it being a pen/pencil does exist. There are/were a vast majority of designs.

Agree. Vintage thermostat bulb of some sort (oven, freezer, engine...).
