I am restoring an antique walnut marble top dresser with hand carved pulls. Probably Victorian. It's manufacturer was Kempel and Heim, Allegany, Pa. Model was 64(?) diamond. I can't locate any information on this company. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

You might not want to refinish a Antique anything it could decree the value a lot, unless its staying in the family and will not be sold.

PATINA is everything.
regardless of item.
mess with it, and you will likely ruin any value.

Thanks for the advice, but in this case it was being loaded for a trip to the dump. Had the internal rails to hold the drawers all broken, the drawers were in pieces and no real patina. So wasn't even sure I could restore it, basically took it for the wooden pulls. However, here is what it looks like now. IMG_0616.webp
