Antique picture + frame?

Hi guys

Just picked this up for 40 bucks off Craigslist. I have no idea if it could resell for more or not. Any experts on antique picture frames here that can shed some light? I can post more pics if needed

Any way to tell if it's an authentic antique, or not?
 

So i did a little research and the last picture has the name "Carson Pirie Scott & Co" written on the back. This was the former name of the dept store which is now simply known as Carsons. I'm thinking this is a piece from the early 20th century, possibly turn of the century or maybe a little earlier. Currently trying to associate the Logo featured with a specific time period. Looks like it's legit after all. The question is, is it worth more than I paid for it?

great frame, is it carved wood or plaster
